Plants changed my life

Clickbaity, I know. but its true

Some specific objects had a very strong influence in my life:

My first hat with a rainbow in it, I was (5) years old

My first button in the mouth (4)

The first antidepressant (27) and the first anticonceptive (17)

“My” guitar (12)

My iMac (22)

and about this topic, my first plant. (24)

Jaana gave me a succulent. Which died horribly, full of spider mites, dried and enveloped in webs.

I didn’t care that much, because I was in a very deep depressive state, but as I saw this person get mad and sad at the same time, I knew I wanted to show that I can take care of something living, so I got a second chance with an “Efeutute” (Epipremnum or Pothos). Nowadays its clones are overall my home and some of my friends houses. But how did I succeed this time?

Well I learned how to care about living things. (and also began to work on my mental health)

I never named this plant, cuz I did not wanted to mourn something im attached to. I just was looking at it, making sure it doesn’t burn, it doesn’t freezes and it doesn’t die. Amazingly it worked. I just did not ignore it. I just cared and it happened to be the secret sauce to make things better.

and well I became a plant parent. (former plant daddy, but im non binary my peeps, all and none pronouns, thanks)

WHO HAVE GUESSED THAT IF U LEARN HOW TO CARE ABOUT UR PLANTS U LEARN HOW TO CARE ABOUT URSELF?!

because this green living things don’t have any rush. they drink slowly, they breathe slowly and I live fast, but I cannot rush this piece of shitty leaves to get to my pace.

Love is patience and care.

So yeah, I got like 20+ plants now, most of them are happy, I had two catastrophic plagues and I ve learned death comes with life and life comes with dead, and that’s beautiful.

Now im planning to get Rats.

imma head out, peace.
