There is this phenomenon, when people spend many years living in Germany, they will began to avoid to cross the street when the streetlight is red even if there there are not cars around.
Following the rules ensure u that u are well and secure enough. But people in walking or riding bikes keep getting killed by cars.
It does not matter how much u follow the rules. Because at the end; is one blood bag against an extremely heavy object.
If I (a person walking) don’t follow the rules my life is in danger, irreparable damage. But if a car driver does it, well it can scape and if caught, money and time might be taken away. That wont give me my life back tho.
That whole complex situation is reduced to: Follow the lights, follow the rules. Or u might die.

It took me some years to notice that Germany is indeed very corrupt, but not a democratic corruption. Only the elites feel free to do it.
They made people afraid to disobey the rules, they made the dogs patrol each others while they cover their fuckups.
Like a parental figure asking u to have good grades while selling weapons.
But lets go back to “cars” and “individuals” for a moment.
A car needs an individual to work, but an individual does not need a car to work. Or does it? Well, there is an artificial demand. Because ur work is far away from ur home. What a pity, now some years of ur work will serve to pay only ur way to work.
Why would a car driver drive over someone? Who’s fault is it?
Well first someone need access to a car, so most probably u are a worker, most probably exploited. Or u have a car because ur a nepo baby. because they are not accessible for everyone.
Then u need someone to be ridden over. Some peasant that cannot afford a car, or doesn’t want one.
Both share a space and time, but who decided that? The walkers? No. The drivers? Also no. The city? Almost there. The Auto industry? Eureka!
Sell a problem, sell the solutions, and if someone died, the red light was on.
What do u think was invented first, the car or the streetlight? What came first, the chicken or the egg?
While germans wait at the red light, the whole auto industry corrupts the country, exploits their workers and rots from the inside, rotting this whole factory with them, yes, this country is a factory. And like most of them, a private own one. Where corruption is punishable for the workers but is called business when it’s done by the elites.
While in Ecuador we have a real corruption democracy. how u ask?
Nobody respects a red light.
But people still look both sides before crossing, cuz we do not trust anything but our eyes, survival instinct its called, but a friend once called it street-smart.
U don’t need to follow the rules to go on living. The rulebook is not in our nature. As the writers of it want us to believe.
Dont get me wrong, I dont endorse corruption, but corruption is like an untreated cancer. It does not matter how much or little. One cell is already vey dangerous.
A major part of Ecuador knows it has cancer, while German Elites say that Cancer can be cured by working harder.
The moment u associate a rule to ur well being, u are not free. There is no need for red lights without cars. The machine that could take u anywhere, keeps getting u only to work.
